What is it?

The current Integrated Self-Assessed Tax System is used to track various tax payer information which includes, but is not limited to, tax payments, business registration, and accounting information. The tax payments and fees that are tracked include the Facility Usage Fee, Local Service, Earned Income, Amusement, Payroll Preparation, Institution & Service Privilege, Deed Transfer, and Parking taxes. The current software runs reports/jobs relating to accounts receivable, business information, taxes, and record processing.

The objectives of the proposed Integrated Self-Assessed Business Tax and Revenue System are to have the same functionality of the old system as well as improve efficiency, minimize cost, improve customer service, and save clerical time and effort. The proposed system will be a major component of tracking and collecting all revenue for the City of Pittsburgh.
