What is it?

The City of Pittsburgh Department of Public Works Request for Statements of Interest for the project scope for Penn Avenue Reconstruction Phase 2 Preliminary Engineering includes reconstruction of the roadway, replacement of the sidewalk, curb, and gutter, relocation and replacement of utilities both underground and overhead, installation of traffic signals, pavement markings, a storm sewer collection and conveyance structures, streetlights, street furniture, street trees, and planted bump outs. Consultant team responsibilities may include, but are not limited to: project scheduling, meeting attendance, surveying, background research, right-of-way investigation, public outreach, environmental investigation and documentation, pavement coring, design field view submission, constructability reviews, utility coordination, subsurface utility engineering, sidewalk vault location, roadway pavement design, preliminary drainage design, preliminary utility design, preliminary maintenance and protection of traffic, preliminary traffic signal design, preliminary signing and pavement marking plan, preliminary lighting plan, and preliminary landscaping plan. The project limits are along Penn Avenue from Evaline Street to Graham Street.

How do I bid?

Sealed proposals must be received by the time indicated in the solicitation document on the last day of the submission period. See document for specific instructions concerning printed and/or digital copies. Postmarks are not sufficient. Proposals by fax and email will not be accepted.

Mail or deliver proposals to the address detailed in the main solicitation document (RFP, IFB, RFQ).
